Eric T. Jones is a co-founder and Partner at the Institute for Culture and Ecology.  He is a native of Oregon and an environmental anthropologist involved in natural resource research, conservation and policy analysis.  He uses a variety of methods including long-term ethnographic work with individuals and communities to better understand the cultural complexities underlying environmental problems.  He works regionally in the Pacific Northwest as well as nationally and internationally.  Eric has researched and published on sustainable forestry, stewardship, land tenure, community-based environmental protection, interdisciplinary science, and political ecology.  He was the lead editor for the University Press of Kansas book, "Nontimber forest products in the United States."  He participates regularly in regional, national, and international natural resource policy and management discussions and projects.  He is the lead architect and supervisor of IFCAE's website and online databases.
