Consider Joining the IFCAE Board of Directors

IFCAE is looking to expand the Board of Directors. We are especially interested in finding people who can help us build an endowment to help with the long-term financial stability of the organization. This might be skilled fundraisers with networks to private donors with an interest in conservation science, but could also be people who have limited experience but have the time and energy to give fundraising a try.

Duties of the Board of Directors

IFCAE recognizes that serving on our Board of Directors is a voluntary act done out of kindness and a commitment to our mission, and we are grateful for the time and energy that our Board of Directors puts forth toward making IFCAE a successful and financially stable organization.

Application Process

If you are interested in joining our Board, here is how to get started:

  • Review the "IFCAE Board of Directors Overview" posted below to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of our Board members.
  • Explore our website to get a feel for our mission, programs and partners to make sure your interests match with our organization.
  • Download, print and complete the Board Service Application.  When you click on the download link the document will attempt to open in your browser and may take a couple minutes depending on your Internet connection speed.  If you have problems send us an email at ifcae@ifcae.org and request that we send it to you directly.   BOARD APPLICATION DOWNLOAD LINK

Once your application is received it will be circulated to the staff and the Board of Directors for review.  You will likely be contacted within a couple of weeks with preliminary feedback and potentially an invitation to formally meet the staff and Board.  Sometime soon after meeting in person a formal vote on your application will take place by the Board of Directors.  Feel free to contact us at anytime with questions.  Thanks for your interest!
