Project Overview
The manual addresses the shortage of technical information available
on the drafting, content, and implementation of wild products
regulations. It provides a framework for understanding the diverse
issues and elements that combine to create effective law and policy
for wild products, such as mushrooms, berries, barks, and nuts. The
manual features 12 chapters that examine experiences with regulating
wild products, using the lens of a particular geographic area,
species, or issue (eg taxation, labor law, institutional capacity).
Chapters from countries and regions include: Bolivia, Brazil,
Cameroon, Canada, China, Finland and Sweden, India, Mexico, The
Philippines, Southern Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United
States.
