Project Description
IFCAE is contributing an article to a special issue of Economic Botany
about wild mushrooms around the world. The article, an ethnographic
account of wild mushroom politics in Oregon, illustrates the techniques
that nation-states use to exert control over previously unregulated
natural resource sectors. It also highlights the importance of
incorporating natural resource users, such as wild mushroom pickers and
buyers, into public land planning.
